Your privacy in My Home

Last updated 15 October 2026 · Private beta

My Home is operated by Tech Local (Pty) Ltd. Contact troy@techlocal.co.za about your information or this notice.

What stays on your iPhone

Your profile, imported transactions, meal and shopping plans, workouts, staff records and app preferences are stored locally. The app does not automatically upload all of these records. Device backups and keyboard dictation follow your Apple settings.

Your hosted account

If you sign in, My Home processes your email address, account identifier, session and device records, chosen free module and subscription entitlements. Money records you explicitly upload, agent permissions and proposed changes are stored in your hosted account. These support sign-in, selected sharing, access control and the actions you request.

Supabase provides authentication and database hosting; the My Home project is hosted in Ireland. Vercel hosts the website and consent service. Resend delivers sign-in emails and processes the recipient address and email content. Providers retain operational data, including sign-in events, IP addresses, user-agent information, request timing and security/error logs, to secure and operate the service. These records may be linked to your account and processed in other countries. They are not used for advertising tracking.

Apple Health

Connecting Apple Health is optional. With the permissions you choose, My Home reads sleep, resting heart rate, the latest recent heart-rate sample and up to ten recent workouts to display on your iPhone. Heart-rate and workout entries show their source and time. These readings stay in memory, are cleared when you disconnect or change accounts, and are excluded from My Home cloud sync, account exports and AI context. Garmin Connect can share some Garmin data into Apple Health; this is partial, one-way sharing and does not provide Body Battery, stress or your full Garmin history. Health information is not used for advertising. Disconnect in Connections and manage permissions in Apple Health or iPhone Settings.

Workout handoff

For Garmin workouts, My Home prepares a checklist for you to enter in Garmin Connect and send to a compatible watch. Optional written notes are off by default. Copying the checklist or AI formatting prompt uses the iPhone clipboard, is local to that device and expires after five minutes. The formatting prompt makes no model request itself; if you paste it into another service, that service receives the text you chose. No Health samples are included. My Home stores your own confirmation that you checked a saved workout version on the watch; it is not automatic delivery verification or a completed activity.

Apple Watch scheduling separately uses WorkoutKit after your explicit review and permission. It schedules supported time goals; saved notes are not transferred as structured workout steps.

Optional AI and agents

When you use an AI provider, the question, saved personal prompt, style preferences and context shown in the review are sent directly to the OpenAI or Anthropic API you select. Your API key is stored in this device's account-scoped Keychain; it is used to authenticate with that provider and is not sent to My Home's backend or included in exports. The provider's own privacy and retention terms apply.

External agents receive only the hosted records and actions covered by a separate grant you approve. You can revoke the grant in Agents & API. Revocation stops future access through My Home; it cannot retrieve copies already received by the agent. Proposed Money category changes require a separate review before saving.

Email, purchases and support

Bank-email forwarding is disabled in this beta configuration. We will explain the receiving provider's handling before enabling it. For sign-in emails, Resend's standard email and log retention is 30 days; see Resend's security information.

Apple handles App Store payments. My Home uses signed transaction identifiers, product, status, expiry and an account identifier to verify module access. My Home does not receive your card details. During TestFlight testing, Apple shares crash reports, usage information and feedback with us to diagnose problems and support the beta. Reports can be linked to your tester identity. See Apple’s TestFlight information. Support messages and the technical details you choose to send are used to answer your request.

Retention, export and deletion

Local records remain until you delete them or the app's stored data. Hosted records remain until you delete the account or remove the records using an available control. Account & data offers local export, local deletion and hosted account deletion. Hosted deletion removes active account records, grants and pending imports; it does not erase exports or copies you shared, provider logs, or Apple purchase records. Infrastructure logs and backups follow provider retention schedules and may remain after active records are removed.

Deleting local records alone does not delete a hosted account. Deleting an account does not cancel Apple subscriptions. Export anything you need first and cancel subscriptions separately in your Apple settings. Contact support to request access, correction or deletion assistance or to raise a privacy concern.

No advertising tracking

My Home does not sell your personal information or include advertising trackers. Information is used to provide the features you choose, secure the service and respond to support requests. Only share information about other people when you have authority to do so.
